Too busy to relax they say

Complaints, excuses everyday

They sound so weak, so stressed, so tired

A mundane world in which they’re mired

No time to sit and just be quiet

No chance they have to hear the sound

Of birds and trees and clouds and air

Too much work, it’s just not fair

This really seems quite sad to me

So much to do, no time to be

Breathe I say and move a bit

Then after that we can just sit

And watch the world at its own pace

There is no rush, it’s not a race

And if it were, what is the goal?

Where are you going mind, body, soul?

The Zeitgeist

Have you ever wanted to walk with an artist? Figure out what's going on with them in their everyday life...FOR REAL!?

I've been thinking about that for the longest, and I figure that I can make a change. I can be the first person to actually let people in on what's going on in my life constantly!

So here's the plan that I've discussed with my team, AFP!

1. Starting in the first week of January (through the entire year), I'm going to post an episode every week just giving you some scoop on what's going on in my life.

2. On the last week of every month, I'm going to drop an EP. It will have at least 4 tracks, but no more than 10.

That's pretty much it. A whole bundle put into a few simple words. I think it's going to be really fun doing this! I'm pretty damn excited!

As of right now, I'm finishing up recording for "Static On Your Radio" which might just be my drop for January.

Also, in between some of the EPs, I might drop some mixtapes! It won't be often, but it'll be something that keeps you all entertained!

What you see below this post concerning "Static On Your Radio" are lies! I'm sorry I lied to you about these things.

That is NOT the official artwork for the mixtape.

That is NOT the official track listing for the mixtape.

There is NOT going to be ANY single release prior to the mixtape drop.

And, obviously, the mixtape is NOT going to drop on December 1.

The truth, is that we're going back in to add some richness to the project. I was not pleased with what we had, so I am doing more in order to correct. The date is pushed back, but it is going to be better than it would have been yesterday!

We are looking for a release this month... But if that does not work out, it will drop in January. At the absolute latest, February. If I do not have this done on time, I will quit music for good.

PERIOD.

The internet single version of the song is expected to be released this Friday (the 13 of November), while the extended version will be featured on the mixtape.

NEWS: Upcoming Release - The Top Secret Mixtape

For those of you who did not know, Brannigan is slated to drop a mixtape on December 1, 2009!

That's it. That is all we have to say as of now.

Looking forward to finishing it up for you, and looking forward to your feedback from the project.

Music Monday: "Uptown Freeverse"

Hi, it's me again...I know you miss me! :-)

If you're following me on Twitter, you might know that I've been in the studio working on a TON of new projects. You might also know that one day I was goofin' around in the stu and ended up recording the following track:

The "Uptown Freeverse" is just me spittin' over my homey Drake's song "Uptown" off of his mixtape "So Far Gone". You should listen to his version too! And also check out the dude XV's version here! I know there's a bunch more out there...but I really like those -- and that's all I know by heart (LOL). So check out mine and let me know what you think!
