Have you ever wanted to walk with an artist? Figure out what's going on with them in their everyday life...FOR REAL!?

I've been thinking about that for the longest, and I figure that I can make a change. I can be the first person to actually let people in on what's going on in my life constantly!

So here's the plan that I've discussed with my team, AFP!

1. Starting in the first week of January (through the entire year), I'm going to post an episode every week just giving you some scoop on what's going on in my life.

2. On the last week of every month, I'm going to drop an EP. It will have at least 4 tracks, but no more than 10.

That's pretty much it. A whole bundle put into a few simple words. I think it's going to be really fun doing this! I'm pretty damn excited!

As of right now, I'm finishing up recording for "Static On Your Radio" which might just be my drop for January.

Also, in between some of the EPs, I might drop some mixtapes! It won't be often, but it'll be something that keeps you all entertained!

What you see below this post concerning "Static On Your Radio" are lies! I'm sorry I lied to you about these things.

That is NOT the official artwork for the mixtape.

That is NOT the official track listing for the mixtape.

There is NOT going to be ANY single release prior to the mixtape drop.

And, obviously, the mixtape is NOT going to drop on December 1.

The truth, is that we're going back in to add some richness to the project. I was not pleased with what we had, so I am doing more in order to correct. The date is pushed back, but it is going to be better than it would have been yesterday!

We are looking for a release this month... But if that does not work out, it will drop in January. At the absolute latest, February. If I do not have this done on time, I will quit music for good.

PERIOD.

If you're following me on Twitter, you might know that I've been in the studio working on a TON of new projects. You might also know that one day I was goofin' around in the stu and ended up recording the following track:

The "Uptown Freeverse" is just me spittin' over my homey Drake's song "Uptown" off of his mixtape "So Far Gone". You should listen to his version too! And also check out the dude XV's version here! I know there's a bunch more out there...but I really like those -- and that's all I know by heart (LOL). So check out mine and let me know what you think!

Sat down with the AFP team last night and made some key decisions on the future of my music.

Here's what we came up with:

1. A top secret mixtape is coming out this December -- before "Writer's Block (Vol. 1)"!

2. "Writer's Block (Vol. 1)" is slated to drop on January 19, 2009

3. We set up recording dates for both projects that I'm working on

4. After both projects are done, we're pushing for an April 13 release date for "Daydreaming Nightmares"

That's some of the big decisions that were made, as well as others.

Be on the look out for everything we're sending your way! We've just begun!

Hello all,

Just wanted to put up a nice update, so this may get a tad bit lengthy. Please, bear with me!

It's been a while since AFP has put you in touch with Brannigan, but that has given us time to bring some news to you! First off, if you did not now, we are in the process of creating a mixtape: Brann's full release since January! We all appreciate the audience sticking with us through this drought, it's been quite a hard time. A lot of things were going on, but BK is back and ready to fire off some music...and we are in full support of him! Brannigan and the AFP team, which creates the Writer's Block Academy, sat down last night and mapped out the rest of the process for this mixtape! As a result, we have a projected release date for "Writer's Block (Vol. 1)"! If everything goes the way it has been planned, we are looking at an early December release - specifically, the first day of Decemeber (Tuesday, December 1, 2009)! If the buzz around this project wasn't already immense, it sure is now! If you were in the studio, you would be able to feel the energy in every word that flies out of B's mouth. For this reason, we want to get the listeners involved! We want you to be equally, if not more, excited for this than we are! So, get ready! Singles have been chosen, the MySpace playlist is in order, the studio dates are set, and many extras that will be noted in later updates. We're going to be doing a ton of promotional things for this mixtape: BK has a photo shoot coming up and he's starting to post some video blogs! He's constantly tweeting, IMing (AIM - HELLOBRANNIGAN), chillin' on MySpace, and posting on Facebook! The Purevolume page is now open for traffic! It's just a page that's gonna keep track of the process of making this mixtape, "Writer's Block"! I'm kinda excited about it, it's gonna give you a chance to preview the project and get a little bit of insight on what's going on...so, to me, it's kinda a big deal!
I wanna thank everybody for their support, faith, and help during this process...without you all, and Allah, I would never make progress (especially with my ADD! LOL!)

It's gonna be powered mostly by us, and a little by BK (with updates every now and again).

The cool thing we're gonna be doing with it is keeping track of the mixtape...

Every time we finish a track we're gonna post it up on the Purevolume for you to listen to. The page won't be hosting downloads, though (we're saving that for the day of the free release!).

We're pretty darn excited about all this!

We're getting rough drafts of the completed tracks on Thursday, so we'll post them all on Friday!

Remember, they will be rough drafts...so the final versions won't be released until the entire mixtape is ready. Hopefully, no tracks will be leaked.

Writer's Block: Update #2

What's up world?!

This is April's Finest Prize dropping in with some news/updates. So here goes nothin':

We are officially 12 minutes and 55 seconds into this mixtape! BK has recorded 4 of the 18 tracks that are slated to be featured on this record. We've only been recording this mixtape for a weekend and we have made so much progress! The whole extravaganza is going down in Suite 1223, our studio located in Yorkville, IL. Seeing the progress being made makes us want to push for an early release date, but perfection comes in due time (and we don't want to jinx it!).

We have a few solid features on the disc, we are just waiting for the artists to come through and put it down! If you would like to be a part of any of the activity send an e-mail to us at HELLOBRANNIGAN@YAHOO.COM

Besides the recording, we are gathering artwork for the singles and also the entire project. We aren't planning to go outside of our company due to the secrecy of this project. So, we will probably go throguh Flashing Lights Photography for artwork (or a secret, unknown artist). If any of that changes we will be sure to post it!

We would also like to apologize for the lack of posts and overall activity over the course of the last few weeks. As you can understand we have all been super busy! Preparing for this mixtape, and planning some other major moves for the listeners is very time consuming! BK, as well as ourselves, cannot promise that we will be on more to give you updates, but we do promise to get that information as soon as we possibly can. We ask you to bear with us during this time! In an effort to keep you entertained, as well as informed, BK will be shooting videos, recording audio, taking photos, etc. for your enjoyment! Anything he has will end up posted right here, as well as his other social sites!

NEWS: Writer's Block - #1

About to go into the lab, better known as The Red Room, and start working on the first installment of a series of EPs! They are titled "Writer's Block" because I feel the exact opposite!

Today we're going to get started on art work (cartoons and real)! We're also starting recording, which we are going to do in reverse...just to make this a little bit more fun! So the intro will be the last thing recorded...which will enable listeners to sort of feel everything I went thru as soon as it starts!

The EP should be in out in the upcoming months...I'd give it 2-3! If not it will definitely be before the new year arrives! So get excited...I AM!

I'll be posting some new MySpace songs sometime next month from ALL the projects we've been working on! So be on the lookout for that...

I wanna apologize to you all for keeping you so out of the loop in the recent weeks!
I've been real busy working on new projects, getting back into my school routine, and many other things...

But everything is back to stable for the most apart, so I can start feeding you updates more often.
So here's the skinny on what's happened...and what's planned for the future...

For my next BIG project, we are currently working on a mixtape titled "Sincerely Yours,"! Kind of an introductory mixtape, which will also show my more sophisticated side. It's gonna be real fun to put this together! It's sort of a concept, mostly because it's riding along the same line of thought from track to track.
Before that project is released I'll be dropping the first installment in a series of EPs titled "Writer's Block". I named it that because I chose the title on opposite day...HAHAA! So, we're gonna put out a couple of those and then drop the "Sincerely Yours," mixtape! We'll drop a one more in between the time of that mixtape and the extravanganza we're gonna call "Daydreaming Nightmares", a concept mixtape which tells a story in reverse chronological order! It features tracks such as: "It's You" featuring XV`, "Addicted", "Flashing Lights", and "Livin' Out Loud"! I'm rather excited about it as it is the project prior to my FULL-LENGTH ALBUM! From the release of "Daydreaming Nightmares" to the preparation of my album I will release NO WORK whatsoever! No sweat, though...around a month before the album drops, we will release a preview EP, not giving you any listen to the songs, but a sneak peak of what I'm bringing to the talbe...

From now on...

I'm gonna change the layout of this site EVERY MONTH, preferably to match the time of year. Cool, right? I know!

-The concept tape he is working on now! The concept is him telling a special story...in reverse chronological order!

-This EP will be released around a month prior to the release of the album, just to prepare you all for the "extravaganza that we're gonna bless you with", as Brannigan would say.

3. Paper Route LP

(Album) | Release: TBA

-Brannigan's first studio album, depicting tales of the process it took to actually make the album...along with anything else he does, including the inspiration behind it. It's very psychological.

4. Soundtrack of My Journey

(Mixtape) | Release: TBA

-Another concept mixtape! This one is about his journey from Earth to his planet, and his return back...along with other adventures along the way. We have recieved all the beats and are in the process of writing already! Due to the space theme, all beats sound "spacey" if you will (for lack of better words). He decided to do this because all rappers claim they're from "space", but B actually has an addiction to it...to prove that he's not just another one of them, but that he is really true in his addiction to space and life beyond our planet.

Due to the restlessness that comes with BK making his album, and the push listeners are making, he has decided to release a mixtape prior to the album release.
The album isn't slated to release until late 2010, so we WILL be doing this mixtape before then!

Also, before the album release we'll be releasing a 5-7 track EP, just as promo.

But stay tuned for info on the concept mixtape! It's basically going to tell a story...
It should be ready possibly early 2010...maybe a little more towards the middle, but way before the album!

It's like...

I can never seem to stop thinking about you.
It's you...on my mind...thru everything I do.

I know - for sure - I'm thinking about you when nights I don't sleep; and I'd rather just lay up...letting the memories of you run thru my head. Kinda like pretending you're there...I mean, here. I recieved this cover a few days ago via e-mail from my artistic partners in crime, Flashing Lights Photography. Speaking of, every piece of art you recieve from me (pictures, toons, etc) are taken, edited and owned by FLP! So let me know what you think of option numero uno! I am not taking more than 20 covers and then I'll narrow it to 10 myself; after that, we'll take it to the world! For a few weeks we'll hold an open poll in which the top 5 covers to get votes will advance. I'll send the creators of these covers an e-mail letting them know they've made the top 5, also giving them a chance to add some finishing touches and re-submit their images to us (we'll give the artists a couple weeks for that task). Following, the final drafts will be posted again to this web page and all of my other social sites for ANYONE to vote! We will give each image a week. Meaning: We will post the 5 images and every weeks one will get cut. At the end of the five weeks we will be able to declare a winner and that will be the official cover! For the artists that did not win, there is no worry. We will use your original or final draft as promotional tools, default pictures for social sites, single covers, or artwork for the physical copy of the CD! Also, I will reward you with spotlight on the official website, a free poem/song, and a fan photo straight to you personally, and much more free awesomeness! Cool?

The making of the album is now officially underway.
All of the beginning decisions have been made. Those like...should we do it now, what's the project title, what name is it under, who would we like to callb with, and many more. We've come to terms on it all!

This project, tentatively titled "Paper Route LP", is a concept album which focuses around my idea of a year ago..."dreaming through a pencil". This album features songs only about my writing process, the thoughts that may go through my head and etcetera.

Ok, so...

As some of you may know BK is currently away from the music scene; due to some personal issues and some things that need to be worked out with the music he wants to present to the world. But while he is away he is still busy at work, working hard I might add, though it is not yet public.

With the time away he has cleared his mind. This has helped him make some key decisions he wasn't able to make while in the public eye. He has made a final, concrete decision on his first album, his second album and also his third. He has come up with concepts and titles for some promotional EPs. And he has started minor details of some of his biggest mixtapes. All around, the time off is only doing good things for him. He is taking the chance to step back and really think about his future. Something he has not been able to due lately, due to him taking up 110% of his time trying to make a name for himself in the industry.

Upon his return you should expect his first album! Titled "Paper Route LP". He has his concepts and is in the writing stages. We have not yet reached out for collaborations but when his parts are written we will move on a do so. He wants this project to really reach out to unsigned and indie artists, as well as people that don't really do music at all (in other words, getting fans more involved).

Through his hard times he has stated that music is something "spiritual" to him. Also saying that the success of a song is just as "spiritual". He feels that the support of the listening audience is his drive to keep making records, so there is no other way to repay you for your support in bad times and good is to include you in all that he does! This being one of those things that he "does". So be looking for those chances coming up. We've already got one person that we have made a promise to include (Sam M., we have not forgotten you!).

It is my honor to give you this amazing news and news that will follow. More is coming to you all soon, so stay tuned with us!

Ok, so...
Changes have been made.
I've finally sat down with my team and worked out how we're gonna arrange my upcoming projects.

First off, and coming next is the really small EP "Memo DEMO". It's only gonna have 5 tracks on...and something special for you all. :)
After that...we have 6 other EPs planned. All these (except for the "Static On Your Radio" mixtape release, which has 14) have 10 or fewer tracks, but are 6 and above.
After the last release of "Zero", we go in on the mixtape extravaganza!!! There a quite a few planned and after all are released. We got to work on "O Positive"...the first album!!! It is built off of a concept so more on that to come later in progress.

For now, prepare for "Memo DEMO"! The 5 tracks are already known, so now it's just a matter of production and so forth...I will update you on the progress of that as it comes along. Some promo art and covers will be up within the coming weeks...
After that it's the EP crazed madness we call the "Paper Route".
